Apartment Review
This place is horrible
Review Date: 7/5/2010

Safety - The neighborhood is shady. There is a big homeless population in the area and although you can walk to many restaurants, you don't feel safe doing so. The 7-Eleven and Vons nearby are not safe. Also, people constantly leave the front door open or unlocked in order to let their friends in. Plus my packages were stolen from the mail area. Parking - Tandem parking. People dump their trash all over the garage. I've seen neighbors leave their furniture, boxes, beer bottles, office chairs and anything else that doesn't fit in the trash chute randomly in the garage area or inside the shopping cart in the garage that someone stole from the aforementioned homeless people. Appearance - Nice apartments but terrible upkeep. People don't pick up after their dog poop. People purposely destroy the property. They leave trash all over the hallways and elevator. Other things I've seen: vomit in the garage, urine in the elevator, dog poop in the elevator, beer bottles and cans everywhere, multiple fire extinguishers stolen from their glass cases, couches left in front of the apartment, the list goes on. Office Staff - Wiseman Management is the worst. Do they exist? I've never talked to them except when they took our money for the deposit. They're useless and don't do anything about this place. People complain left and right and nothing has changed. Maintenance - Eh. It takes about 5-7 minutes (no joke) for the hot water to kick in. The building has shifted since it's been built so the the shelves in the kitchen are lopsided and the doors don't close all the way. Condition of Unit - New condos that the company couldn't sell, so they rented them in the meantime. Noise Level - This is the WORST aspect of this building. I expected it to be filled with professionals, but little did I know that every spoiled UCLA student with rich parents lives here. There are constant parties, noisy neighbors, doors slamming, people smoking illegal substances on their balconies, dogs barking, people having sex with their windows open so everyone facing the courtyard can hear them, police coming by to break up the parties, need I say more? Imagine the typical college party. And then imagine that it's your neighbor next door. And then imagine that it happens every other night and that you can feel the beat of the annoying thumping of house music through your floors and walls. You would get irritated, too. Overall rating - I would not recommend this apartment or management company and am moving once my lease ends.
