Apartment Review for The Hillcreste - Los Angeles, CA

When we first looked at The Hillcreste we liked what we saw. After we moved in, everything changed. All of the people we worked with at the office either quit or were fired (for drinking on the grounds)... The rent is considerably high for the quality of the grounds and staff. They go through staff like water. BEWARE of NORMA! When we gave notice of our move out date they informed us to schedule a walk through to ensure we would get our entire deposit back ( - water, sewer and trash). We scheduled our walkthrough, video taped it, and were informed that we would be getting it all back (- $60 dollars of carpet spots). We received a letter with a grainy black and white photo informing us that we would not be getting our deposit back due to ... they didn't state a reason! Hello small claims court and good bye all of my time. :( SO, pretty on the outside, so-so tenants (mostly short term business people from out of the country), TERRIBLE office staff (incompetent). They are owned by AIMCO and operate in part with The Oakwood. DO NOT LIVE HERE! North, west and east of the property are 50+ properties that are MUCH cheaper with exceptional staff and closer to everything the west side has to offer. BEWARE THE HILLCRESTE!!!!
