Apartment Review
Dont do it....

We have lived here for two years....started out in a studio now in the one bedroom with a loft and we are moving out next month. This place is ridiculous, very pricy for the space and location, but what killed it for us is the apartment managers. They do nothing....Our roof leaked for a year (yes a year) after calling building inspectors, the state, property managment etc. the Lazy managers thought it would be okay to patch up the stucco walls of our patio with silcone kaulk....we have had major ant infestations, faulty plumbing, leaking roofs, walls, garbage disposal problems, problems with our lighting, and nothing can get fixed without dozens of phone calls, in person meetings, letters, etc. If I had an option (and if your sold on the area there is so much better to be had for less money just look a little harder on the very same street) I would have never moved in and would have moved long ago. I wasnt even going to review and just going to let it go, but the managers have been so difficult to deal with, dis-honest, and downright mean I cant bear the thought of anyone else renting here. I have spoken with the property owners, and when I spoke with them directly things got taken care of more quickly (read it only took three weeks of raining in our bedroom and ruined furniture clothing and carpet to patch it up half assed then the usual 3 months) . Parking is okay but not good. they have laundry facilities but dont plan on doing it here unless you like shelling out for clothes that end up smelling like wet dog (which baffles me because it is a pet free building) and that you have to dry two or even three times (small loads i wish i could make this up because we would all have a laugh) all while charging you about a quarter more than the laundrymat.... Walls are paper thin, if you like the sounds of your neighbours making out at two in the morning, and being able to hear exactly what there watching on tv youll love it. grounds are non existant, mediochre never looked so bad. the building is secure and you need keys to get in but we still had two break ins when we lived here. eagle rock is fairly safe though and you cant fault the apt for crafty thieves. construction is a joke....get ready for everything in your apartment to fall apart and when it breaks get ready to not need whatever it is for months at a time. maintenance....hahaha there idea of 'hiring an exterminator' was to send one of the resident managers up to our apartment with a can of raid.....i wish i was joking..... staff....they signed for my ups packages a few times hooray awesome and very nice....that is the extent of what they will do for you.... overall....no...just no. dont bother. Just a sweet addition we are moving out at the end of the month, even after their horrible repair job in our bedroom that they decided not to paint apparenly we are still liable and will lose part of our deposit for their shoddy repair work.....this place is laughable save your time and money and look elsewhere. If it wasnt for the horrible managers we would have stayed.
