Apartment Review for Avalon Wilshire - Los Angeles, CA

I live in Avalon Wilshire and planning to move out AS SOON AS my lease is over. This place is wayyyyyyyyy overpriced for what it is. The only thing good about this place is 24-hr gym and that's about it. There's a construction right across the street from my unit and its noise is killing me. I don't consider myself as too sensitive to noises but seriously, it's ridiculous. When I first visited this place, it was on Saturday and they weren't doing the construction so I wasn't aware of the noise (leasing office did not say a word about the noise). I found out about the noise on the day I moved in, and I was told that the construction would be done in 2 weeks, AND THAT WAS 10 MONTHS AGO. I found 4 cockroaches in my unit and I CLEAN MY PLACE ALL THE TIME. I told the office and they came to spray the unit but apparently it's not helping. Cockroaches are the last thing I expected from such a high-priced apartment. Office ladies are never there, there's a sign that says "We will be back in 3 hours" every time I go (okay maybe 2 out of 3 times I go). Safety-wise: There was a shooting on La Brea & 8th (2-3 blocks away) few months ago. Overall, I hate this place and I'm sure you'll hate it too. I can find so much better place for the price I'm paying.
