Apartment Review for Avalon Del Rey - Los Angeles, CA

This place is a nightmare. My fiance and I lived there for eight months, from September '07 to May '08. The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night. Sometimes the people in the office would say it was the system, sometimes they would say someone was pulling the alarms. They never seemed concerned that everyone was getting woken up in the middle of the night four or five times a week. The people in the office were for the most part extremely unhelpful. It was a game of pass the buck and cover your butt, with a few exceptions. Our apartment was infested with ants, and every two months the pipes under the sink would come loose and flood the kitchen. When you move out, they try to charge you to repaint the apartment. DON'T LET THEM. This is against California law. What's more, it took me three months to get my security deposit from them. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are plenty of these types of complexes in the Marina del Rey and Culver City area. You will be sorry if you choose Avalon del Rey.
