Apartment Review for Avalon Del Rey - Los Angeles, CA

If you want to pay top dollar for an apartment where you can't cook in your kitchen without the smoke detectors going off, you are frequently woken up in the middle of the night by the building smoke detectors going off, the majority of your appliances don't function properly, management forgets to call you back, there are cracks in the floors and ceilings even though the building is less than a year old (totally safe in the event of an earthquake I'm sure), and leaks in ceilings and under sinks are frequent occurrences then this is the place for you! On first glance the place looks really nice, but move in and within a couple of weeks you will see what I am talking about. Like they say, don't judge a book by its cover. Nice shrubs, a decent pool and a nicely decorated office do not a well run and efficienlty built apartment complex make. We can't wait until our lease is up and I know that we are not the only ones. Every neighbor we have talked to feels the same way.
