Apartment Review for Atrium Apartments - Los Angeles, CA

Although the majority of the units in this building have been remodeled to look more modern and upscale compared to most of the apartment complexes in the area, this building is a NIGHTMARE to live in. Most of the units on the first floor have had flooding issues. Some of the units have flooded more than three times in one year. Instead of fixing the problem correctly, the management just patches up a section at a time. I am saying this from personal experience. The manager is incompetent. When my apartment was flooding, it took six hours for him to get someone there. I know tenants from four other units that have flooded. They have all have the same complaint. A more serious issue at this building is the manager's disregard for a tenant's rights. The guy entered a unit without the tenant's permission and took pictures of her and her friends while they were sleeping. His excuse was that he was gathering proof that she had people living in the unit that weren't on the lease. She called the cops and he was arrested. I cannot believe the owners are still employing him. If I could move without having to break my lease, I would. You should talk to a few of the tenants before moving in.
