Apartment Review for 1419 S. Beverly Dr. Apartments - Los Angeles, CA

First of all, there's current construction outside next to the building, and they start working at 7am Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays too. The windows are NOT soundproof, so you'll hear the lovely music from the workers, along with their yelling and their power tools. More importantly, you'll get the earlier wake up call from the neighbors upstairs and their infernal children who run up and down the hallway. This place is not carpeted, only hardwood floors, and the sound reverberates badly. So, there's the running children, along with the adults who do not walk lightly. This is upstairs. Also, next door, the ajoining apartment, there is another child around the same age, who also runs up and down the uncarpeted hallway. See a pattern? It gets worse. The landowner is a pushy, stubborn, and nosey - who will hang around the building all day and all night - her son and daughter take up the two upper apartments. If you have any kind fo problem, she'll just ignore you and tell you you're wrong. The plumbing is rusted out (although she'll tell you otherwise). If you decide to live here, make sure that whatever you agree to, get it down in writing!!! Cannot stress that enough. She forgets really really easily, so if you agree to garage or parking space, but it's not in the lease, she'll give you a charming letter telling you that you don't have a right to that space, and you have to move your stuff/car. If there's something that needs repair, make sure you take pictures with photostamps. Take pictures before you move in, and after you move out (since you will). So, if you want a place with no privacy or no peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. Good luck!
